So here is the first release of Domgle with the following new Features:

Possibility of making search on bases hosted on other server.

Possibility of choosing the query syntax (Google or Notes).

Possibility of choosing the documents opening mode.

Display the search time.

Moreover, the code is clean and all the comments are now in English. A setup documentation will follow very soon.

So now, don't hesitate to send me your comments or wishes concerning this application. I'm open to all discutions and contributions !

Since release 4 of Domino, there existed nothing that could carry out a customisable multi-database search. It is a true void filled by various third-party products more or less complete but all with a price tag .
Since I am interested in Ajax (thanks to Jake Howlet), I thought to fill this gap. So I spent a lot of time creating "Domgle" (yes, I know but I did not find any better ). The result is a Google-like web search application able to throw requests at multiple databases on multiple servers, aggregate them and show results. There is only one agent required in each target database.

Here's how it works:



In this application all is entirely settable:
- The target databases.
- The number of documents returned over by the search agents.
- Fields returned by the agents .
- Fields to be displayed.
- Ways to sort the data .
- HTML code to be generated to display the results .
- Etc…

You can test this application here. The target databases are three forum databases with about 20 documents each.

Depuis la version 4 de domino, il n’existait rien (a ma connaissance) qui pouvait réaliser une recherche web multi base customisable à souhait. C’est un vrai manque comblé par divers produits tiers plus ou moins complets mais surtout tous payant .

Depuis que je m’intéresse à Ajax, j’avais en tête de combler ce manque. J’y ai donc passé pas mal de temps pour arriver à pondre « Domgle » (ben oui, je sais mais je n’ai pas trouvé mieux ).
Voici donc une application web de recherche pouvant réaliser des requêtes sur plusieurs bases de plusieurs serveurs, les fusionner et afficher les résultats. Il n’y a qu’un agent à copier dans chacune des bases cibles.

Voici son mode de fonctionnement :



Dans cette application tout est entièrement paramétrable :
- Les bases cibles.
- Le nombre de documents retournés par les agents de recherches.
- Les champs retournés par les agents.
- Les champs affichés.
- Le mode de tri.
- Le code html générer pour afficher les résultats.
- Etc…
